Treading Softly Into the New Year
So far 2018 has the feel of 2017 continued and that’s why I’ve put off writing my monthly blog until the last part of January. It’s taken me most of the month to decide what I want to write about. I’m going to stick with art, it’s what I know and love.
I want to be a part of what’s positive in the world.
Feeling good isn’t a lightweight thing. When we allow negative, angry, and even hopelessness to live in our heads it takes up space we could be using for creative thinking. When we allow ourselves to feel good we throw out some of that junk thinking, no problem was ever solved without using creative thinking.
I know you’re thinking this sounds a bit too pat but stay with me.
We’ve all had busy days, the kind where you’re running around focused on the list of things you should get done and you’re not engaged with the world around you. On one of those errands someone greets you with a smile & not only does it lift your spirits it also brings you back into the moment. That’s the key, it brings you back into the moment and in turn, you reflect that back into the world. Think of that happening multiple times over the course of a day all over the planet. Does this make a better world? Maybe… For certain it makes better moments & those are what make up a life.
That’s what my Feel-Good Art Gallery is intended to do. It’s not meant to change the world, its purpose to lift your spirit.
Happiness to you… ART
